1280 Massachusetts Avenue Lobby Cambridge, MA

When the lobby and common area spaces at 1280 Massachusetts Avenue began to suffer due to high traffic and a dated décor, T.H. Niles Real Estate Group called on Mostue & Associates to change the spaces from drab to dramatic. Our goals for the building were to brighten the lobby by maximizing daylight, to enliven spaces by incorporating exciting and durable finishes, and to respect the surrounding Harvard University context. We replaced existing storefronts with thin profile glass and stainless steel to create a “jewel box” appearance. Dramatic lighting illuminates the entrance and highlights new lobby finishes. All new cherry and granite millwork is complimented by new directories and signage. Elevators, multi-tenant common areas, and garage-area stairways were renovated as well. 1280 Massachusetts Avenue sets a new standard for Harvard Square entrances.
